Natalie L Gibb floats against a backdrop of glowing green light at Casa Cenote. Casa Cenote is one of the least “cave-y” cenotes in the area, with a huge open water area and small caverns formed by mangrove roots and soil. The cavern dive features some of the best light effects in the area, a strong halocline, and plenty of fish, shrimp and crabs, as the cenote communicates directly with the ocean. This dive is best first thing in the morning, during summer, on a sunny day.
