The entrance to The Pit, a deep sink hole behind Cenote Dos Ojos. From this relatively small sink hole, the cenote bells out below to a massive chamber. At the right time of day, light beams reach down to the hydrogen sulfide layer at approximately 90 feet of depth. In this image, the light beams and surface of the cenote are a canvas reflecting a picture of the jungle above.
